The Great Britain Sasakawa Foundation invites applications for its small pump-priming grants. These grants support projects in:
•arts and culture;
•science, technology and environment;
•humanities and social issues;
•medicine and health;
•youth and education;
While encouraging applications in each of the above fields, the foundation particularly wishes to support activities/projects in science and technology; medicine and health; environment and social issues; Japanese studies; and in the Japanese language.
Financial support is available for:
•visits between the UK and Japan;
•research and collaborative studies, seminars, workshops, lectures and publications in academic and specialist fields.
Emphasis is placed on projects involving groups in both the UK and Japan. Grants do not normally exceed £6,000.
