Terms and Conditions

Proposals are initially peer reviewed by at least four reviewers, at least one of whom is nominated by the PI. Proposals which receive support are then reviewed by funding prioritisation panels. Applicants have an opportunity to respond to the reviewers comments and this response is taken into consideration by the panel.

International excellence and national importance, as defined by independent peer review, are the main criteria against which proposals are assessed during peer review.

A Final Expenditure Statement (FES) must be completed and returned electronically via the Je-S system within three months of the end date of the grant.

Application Procedure

Applications can be made at any time through the Je-S System, document type Standard Research. Applications must include a detailed explanation (case for support) of the research proposal, a CV, supporting references, and full details of expenses.

Help with using Je-S is available through the Je-S Helpdesk, email: Je-SHelp@rcuk.ac.uk.
